On Monday of this week, I quit my job in software sales. On Wednesday, I co-founded Terralanes with my roommate, Parker @terralanes_ph. Together we are building a map-based knowledge management system for the logistics industry.
Good luck, John! You have made the first big step to success!
Thank you!
Well done and good luck @john-oates
Get it!
Wish you all the best, @john-oates
If you are looking to hire remote talent, then you are welcome to post at RemoteWorkJar.com for free. We have visitors from 60+ countries. =)
We might need to do that in the future. After this week, I think we’ll have two full time US developers, but we might need to supplement here and there.
You made me generate the TOP 10 countries and post it here. The US is still ranging on the top.

Good luck! don't forget to submit it to startupjohn.com later
I'm curious about your decision to quit. What made you want to do that as opposed to working on this on the side?
I wanted to support my current developer and co-founder @terralanes_ph as much as possible as we build out our MVP. We are also hiring one more full time developer in the next week or so.
That shows real commitment. I wish you the best of luck!
Hi !have you already contacted them to propose your product?
It’s pending approval now!
Good luck, this is the most critical point getting real client :)
Good luck! You’ve got this 💪
Can't wait to get this going!

Wow! Good luck!!
What does it do?
In short, we visualize a freight brokerage's entire book of business on a map and combine it with nuanced customer information that is collected at an individual employee level.
Cool - how did you get into this? Do you have a Medium post or something out there about this?
I worked in the freight brokerage industry for 4 years with 2 different brokerages, and I noticed that they suffered from the same core problem related to a consistency of customer service. No medium post, but check out our explainer deck at terralanes.com
