Rate my first landing page - any feedback welcome :)

Hi everyone!

Just launched my first landing page (after some reading and checking a lot of examples). Now I'm a bit nervous, but please check it out at:

HeroStream.io

I would love any brutally honest feedback!

Is the messaging clear? Which parts are super confusing? Did anything trigger “scammy sales speak!” for you? Any unanswered questions that you're left with? Do you have enough context to want to see more?

Thanks!

Your website is good. Nice, clean design.
However, you could add a video instead of the image of the gameplay. After all, your product is about videos.

In your pricing section, the 'pay as you go' tier is not that evident. To me it looks like you don't want users to choose this option too frequent. I suggest you display all your offers in the same style. Maybe use different colors to highlight the best deal, or most popular choice.

      Thanks for the feedback!
I'll definitely need to add an explainer video or similar.

The pricing layout is on purpose, as I want people to select a recurring plan.
I want to allow "pay as you go" for one-off events or if someone wants to test first.
So the two monthly plans are more prominent to emphasize this.

I don't understand how it works. The first impression it gives me is:

    1. Your targeted audience is gamers, and more specifically, streamers?
    2. It captures clips automatically, but how do you know which is the highlights?
    3. Do I need to spend $100 a month just to share my best moment in gaming for fun?

Yeah, like what the other comment has mentioned, the automatically part is kind of confusing without having full context on what you're trying to sell or what your service does.

Also, I run a free conversion tracking tool to help you learn how and why your visitors sign up, and A/B test your headlines to find out what copies resonate the best with your audience.

      Thanks for the feedback.

I'll add some examples so a visitor knows what the result will be.
Plus I want to explain a bit more detailed how the algorithm gets to select highlights.

100$ is for the team plan, I expect smaller streamers on the smaller plan. Not sure about this yet :)

"Get automated clips from gameplay videos" What part is automated? It doesn't really make sense to me. Do you mean whilst I'm playing lets sat Fortnite, the video footage I'm recording gets added straight into your platform, then I can trim it straight away?

I dont like the white layout, I love youtube and games, and if thats the audience youre trying to get make it a little more modern cool.

Also, the greyed out the background on the image confused me. I tried to click the X button for the picture with the gun. I would love to see a showcase video on the website so I can see it first hand in action.

      Hi! thanks for the feedback.

I cleaned up the image and made it much simpler. Also I pulled it up to be next to the main text and more prominent.

I agree, I'm struggling with the color scheme. In the gaming space websites are often just very dark and hard to read. Will think about this one some more.

I'm preparing some high quality clips to showcase the product to see the action :)

You've covered most of the important item @holgerno well done!

I'm looking for more excitement, maybe you can use a stronger color contrast and vivid visual to facilitate this?

I'd love to hear your feedback on my page too :)

    Some random "live" thoughts:

Get automated clips from gameplay videos
Send a video and share your best moments

From the "automated" part I understand that I just upload a video and it will automatically detect and select my best moments (using AI of some sort). After reading a bit the FAQ I have no idea why and how this works, sounds like "magic", which makes me think it just has some basic heuristics that won't actually select the best moments.

It doesn't say what games it works with. How would it ever know if I upload a chess video when a crazy moment happend? The thing about "moments" in games is that they are most of the times memorable just for humans (funny, really bad play, really good play, etc.). Why would I trust the aglorithm to select the best moments for me?

When I got to the pricing, I was like "WHOA, $100/mo", that's a lot for cropping a video.
It also says "25 video credits per month", but doesn't explain what a video credit actually is. If it's videos uploaded, would easier to understand "25 video uploads per month". This also makes me worry that I would spend my credits on a 15min video if I need it, but as I understand it, it's targeted towards longer VODs.

Clicking "Send video" button took a really long time for me (~15 seconds) and I was sent to a register page, I was expecting some video upload form.

My conclusion: the idea sounds pretty solid, landing page looks clean but the information provided is really ambigous and confusing. I do not trust your service to do what it does, there is no demo (unless I register). A video would really help, showcasing how it actually works.

Thanks for the honest and direct feedback.

I cleaned up some of the FAQ but you're right, it still needs more work especially around the video credits.

Based on your feedback I now redirect everyone straight to the submit form, while I fix the register page.

      Regarding the product:
The algorithm analyses audio and visual content of the video. So it can recognize laughter, shouting, etc that indicate something interesting. Plus the video contains information if you've won, lost (or for shooters: if you had many kills back to back).
Based on feedback from my beta customers, this works and produces good enough clips. I'll add examples to make this visible to visitors on the landing page.

Sweet, totally didn't know about the h1.
Also I just copied the logos from tailwindui.com template and forgot to change it.

      Great feedback, thanks!

Thanks for the honest feedback! just made some changes based on it

      • Changed the headline to mention "video link" to be clear no long video files are needed.
      • Added more specific text which games are supported and which are coming soon
      • I'm preparing some high quality clips from the product and a small diagram to show what the results look like

      Thanks again! :)
