Rate my Forum for degreeless developers
Hey Everyone ,
I have got a forum that I created for Degreeless Developers, I want to build a community there to help others and wondered if I could get some feedback from you all!
If you like it, would appreciate any help I can get and advice on how I can improve it!
Hi George - here are some of my thoughts:
First Impression:
Overall look and feel passes is professional.
The color contrast is not ideal (black nav bar with dark logo). Purple on dark background is hard to see.
It's hard to know where to start, seeing a feed of posts is good but I don't know what they are about and found myself going to your sidebar to start my nav. Maybe having a view like when you click more at the bottom would be better to guide the user?
I like the SPA approach - switching between topics was fast.
Start a discussion wasn't jumping out at me - I feel like this should be more obvious and emphasized.
Your tags overlap with post titles at times (see projects/projectideas). Perhaps handling the title text would help here.
Your topics are hard to follow - for example, I have to click into project to see that there are sub topics (projectideas). Is there a way I can do this in the nav?
