Hello Indie Hackers
After a long-awaited skiing trip in the Austrian Alps, I continued on my SaaS journey. After writing my previous article, I got some valuable feedback.
User @flowpoly suggested I create a company website/ landing page. So after doing some research on Indie Hackers, I found this useful post.
Reading some other post I found out carrd.co was the easiest to set up a good-looking landing page.
I quickly realized that the name I initially chose, "Myo Finance" was quite generic and boring. So after some long brainstorming and looking for available domains, I rebranded to Queris.io
Queris is a play on the word "query" which is frequently used in the context of data.
Please let me know if you have any feedback about my landing page or the service itself.
Until next time!
Hi Joffrey,
Assuming that your prospective customers are developers in fintech or interested in investment, I think I will fall into this pool. (in the case that my assumption is wrong, then my opinion doesn't matter haha)
If the assumption is correct, I will list out a few things that I would like to see or know from your landing page:
Thanks for the feedback and yes the API is focused on developers/ fintech companies. I will definitely add some more information in the about us section.
Hey :) the landing page looks good at the first glance. What catches my eye is the heading (maybe it's only on my browser), but it seems too much space or smth is missing here: https://prnt.sc/26sn495
But overall, the landing looks clean and without destructive information :)
This is an issue with the template/ carrd I think. I can't get the heading any higher :/
If you have a fix please let me know :)
you got a typo in your tag line. "to get all the data"
Fixed it :)
I was surprised to see the CTA right away. I was expecting more detailed features to be shown and what value it brings to me as a customer, then followed by CTA.
First impressions:
I like the dark mode and the colour scheme.
You start with a hero image, a subheading and a heading, which is alright. But, you have 3 CTAs afterwards. It'd be better off if you had just one CTA - one associated with purchase.
If you do decide to keep the Docs button, remove the icon. No other button has an icon, and it looks inconsistent. It's also a best practice to keep icons on the left rather than the right.
I believe uptime and data accuracy are pretty important selling points for such APIs. Why not include some information about that in the "About the service" section? It looks a bit empty right now
The alignment on the pricing section is not good, for the Developer plan in particular. You want to keep the options horizontally aligned, so the user can easily compare the different price plans.
The + icon on the pricing section doesn't add any value.
"Subscribe to RapidAPI" is a bit too long. Perhaps change it to just "Subscribe?"
Overall, you have the foundation down, but there are details that you need to improve. If you'd like to, drop me a DM and I can redesign it for you for free.
Thanks for the feedback! I made some of the changes you suggested, I will soon add some more information in the about section. Uptime and data accuracy are indeed valuable selling points.
No worries mate, glad to have helped
Good luck!
