Rate pointless meetings away. See our approach to identify redundant meetings.

Recently at our company, we’ve been wondering about the negative feelings surrounding the subject of work meetings. Wherever we ask there seems to be somewhat of an agreement that work meetings tend to be useless, there are too many of them, they are too long, nothing gets done, etc. But we feel like it’s counterproductive to just get rid of them altogether. It would be better to identify problem areas and try to fix them somehow.
But since there are so many different reasons for disliking meetings, we had an idea for a rating system. Basically, it would be a variation of the Net Promoter Score metric. Simple 1-10 rating after each meeting and an optional, along with a variety of stats. It could help identify what lower-rated meetings have in common and what could be done about it.
