Reached $1k MRR from a $7 product. My experience with low ticket pricing?

Hey guys,

I recently crossed $1k MRR on my $7 Reddit Marketing SaaS Promotee (yes its more that 100 paying customers) and thought of sharing my learning about how I got here and why giving a low-ticket high-value product helped with the growth.

ABOUT PROMOTEE: Promotee solves a very simple problem -> "I understand the power of Reddit to grow my business but I am too busy (or find it boring) to very actively engage/talk to people (aka potential customer), but I would love to talk to someone if they engaged with me."

Promotee is an AI automated Reddit Marketing SaaS that learns about your persona and engages on subReddits you choose on behalf of you. It goes to different posts, take the context of the post, crafts a comment based on your persona (which literally sounds like you) and do it for you.

This keeps you active and if someone replies to this automated comment you can take the conversation from there and eventually lead it to a conversion :)

Not only that, it also helps you do automated, hyper-personalised outreaches to leads on Reddit. Simply, you can generate leads on basis of relevant keywords and subReddits and then send dms to these leads - ALL AUTOMATICALLY

It on an average takes about 10mins to setup Promotee.

Why $7 pricing? I have a tech background, so whatever I learned about sales through my experience, one thing is unanimously agreed upon is that, if you provide 10x value of your pricing, you will attract customers.

$7/month is a no-brainer for such a feature for most of the people, I started this pricing just as an experiment, but when I did my calculations of margin. I realised that if I touch the right volume of customers then I will make much more money than selling a high ticket for few customers.

Also it helped me stress test my product. Bugs came, I fixed and repeated the cycle a few times and now I feel confident about the product more than ever.

So, in a simple sentence, A no-brainer offer attracted people to buy Promotee and the value it provides was way more than the pricing which made people STAY.
