Wow, Album Daily has officially reached 250 subscribers! While that is very minor for some, this is a huge accomplishment for me, and I am proud of how far it has come in the 2 short months since our launch.
Now, enough celebrating, how do we get to 500 subscribers?
- Referrals - Last week, I integrated a referral program using another indie product, Sparkloop. Hopefully that can catch some steam and drive adoption.
- Keep content quality - I'm going to add a thumbs up/down button to the newsletter, to gauge the audience's reception to the albums that have been going out. Currently, I can track open rates and click rates, but that isn't a great indicator of if somebody actually enjoyed the album or not.
- Social media - Leverage our current social media followings to create targeted posts and get those followers to subscribe to the newsletter.
- Strategic Partnerships - I am reaching out to other indie makers to propose a sponsorship swap for cross-promotion. So far, it is pretty well received, and I hope we can keep this going to leverage all of our indie followings to grow each other's products.

If you have any other ideas, let me know. Cheers!
Nice man! I'm also running a newsletter and it's always fun to get to these milestones.
Your growth ideas sounds good, would like to know:
What is Sparkloop and how do you use it?
How are you going to implement these thumbs? I'm using mailchimp for my newsletter.
Agreed! Sparkloop is a referral software that integrates with Mailchimp. It creates a unique URL for every subscriber, so they can share that with their network and track referrals. It handles the whole life cycle of referrals. @louisswiss is one of the founders
As far as the thumbs, I'm still researching that as well. The built in Mailchimp mergetags work, but it doesn't seem like there is a way to style them differently than what they provide.
Thanks man and good luck on hitting your next milestone :)
What about creating a Tiktok account for Daily Album?
Honestly, that would be spreading myself too thin. If I had more people, for sure, but with just me, it would just be another thing to worry about. Thanks for the suggestion!
I could help you out if you want.
