28 days ago I launched Histoday, a mobile app that shows you what happened on this day in history — famous events, milestones, and figures tied to each calendar date.

🚀 Here’s what happened:

• 537+ downloads on Google Play

• 4.55⭐️ average rating

• Spent only $7.18 on Google Ads

• Got most of my users from Reddit and telling people around me

• Now translated into 6 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, and Hindi 🌍

🔁 What I did after launch:

Since my last Reddit post, I’ve released 3 updates based on feedback from users here and elsewhere. That helped:

• Improve UI/UX

• Add category filters

• Expand language support

This confirmed what I suspected — users really do shape your product.

🧠 Lessons:

• Reddit is a goldmine for early feedback and discovery

• Even a few dollars in ads can help you test

• Localization = growth in global markets

• Just ask people to try it. Many will.
