As has been said many times, ideas are abundantly available and often worthless. Instead, it's key to talk to people about their pain points and ultimately finding customers.
So I'm proposing to do exactly that... together.
Let's share the leads we find, e-mails we send, or calls we place.
Let's sit down together (virtually) at the same time and do outreach to prospective customers.
All the while, we cycle through different ideas that we try to validate.
We'd simply set a deadline for each idea and then see which idea generated the most conversation potential or willingness to buy.
By teaming up, we are motivated, held accountable and sharing the ups and downs with someone. We can navigate the landscape more easily and will end up with a validated business case soon enough.
I'm down to do this. I have an MVP and am at a stage where I'm looking for early customers and testers. DM me if you are at a similar stage
Hey man! I don't have a project right now. Someone else might. I could only offer to team up with you and work together on your project.
I'm interested in how this would work out. Would there be multiple people in different organizations all sharing information, outreach, and conversion data? Would love to see the results of an experiment conducted like this!
My only doubt would be that these people would be inherently in competition, so the customer they're reaching will probably only be inclined to pursue one opportunity when presented with 3-5.
Sounds good, doesn't work.
About leads, it lost value with every other person. Imagine 100 people simultaneously sending mails to newly funded company.
Shaping every e-mail to best converting version will reduce its conversion rate and start to feel spammy.
I think best way to team up from ground zero is to use each other's solutions and market it along the way. It can start with only two people and slowly grow, acquire more members.
One of the members released a feature? 100 people talking about it on twitter will surely lift things up. :) 100 comments on indiehackers, why not. Tomorrow we can talk about the next member's new product, play with HN's algorithm it was ~6 votes/hour to stay on the homepage IIRC.
It'll be hard to fail when 99 people supporting you and you are supporting 99 people by just being there.
You took the idea to another level, haha. 100 Collaborators! No, I'd suggest for a team size of maybe 2-4 people and potentially end up starting the company together with those collaborators.
I didn't mean simultaneously contacting the same person. I ment simply dividing up the work - one person contacting company A, the other one company B.
I'm trying to find other people who are trying to figure out what to work on and would be motivated by this approach. Inspired by this.
Oh I see. Sounds good, doesn't ... jk
Considering the amount of people complaining about loneliness in this journey (me included). This should be a regular thing, however IDK for what reason I'm not up for it.
But really, this has to work. Hope to see it works.
