React to Webflow Conversion for Static Pages

Whats up team!

Just wanted to say, thank you for all your insight. I effing love this community.

So we’ve all made mistakes as we build and probably have wasted or spent too much money due to lack of research or insight. GUILTY.

So I spent 😅 amount of dollars on building an entire react site and realized more and more people are using Webflow for the static pages and building the entire application with REACT (which is what I am using).

Now, I didnt use it in the beginning becuase of my natural hate for Wordpress and its clunkiness, I figured Webflow was the same thing. However, as I realize, companies like Lemlist and Whalesync (great guys btw) for example have done it this way. I can leveage all their SEO, blog features as I love no-code solutions and I wont have to spend time and money on devs to push PR’s.

Using webflow for the SEO and site build seems like a great idea. Im planning on converted my static pages to webflow and adding my application as a subdomain to the site.

Any words on this? Wanted to pick a few people's brains .

Webflow is incredible for search engine optimization. From my great experience with it, it does a incredible task with search engine optimization.
simply ensure you operate the proper HTML shape and build it out from there. best one H1 per web page, ALT textual content and excellent meta titles/descriptions.
Also, in place of subdomain your app you can just out link it to the app if that works higher and create copyright within the footer of the app. That manner you get a one way link from both the app and the website. https://10thclassresult.site/

Can you give me a little more insight privately?

First of all, you should use Next.js for blog posts and Landing Page (framework build on React). All of that should be connected to CMS like GraphCMS (there is great free plan). Then you can write blog posts in CMS or change data in Landing Page. It would be more fast and SEO friendly, then what Webflow can give you.

The biggest advantage of Webflow is how fast can you CHANGE layout. It's great tool if marketing team need fast LAYOUT and CONTENT changes on websites. But if you want to write some blog posts, it's overkill. Also using Webflow isn't that easy. There will be some cases that you will be needing help from someone that knows HTML/CSS.

So if you need tool that will enable you to layout changes, there isn't better choice then Webflow.
But if you want to write blog post and change some data on Landing Page, there is no need for Webflow. You just need connected CMS and tools like Next.js, to generate static sites by clicking "Publish" button in CMS.

I can't tell you what will be cheaper, becouse I don't know how much you devs costs, and what exactly you need, but I hope it will help you.

Webflow is great for SEO. From my vast experience with it, it does a great job with SEO.

Just make sure you use the right HTML structure and build it out from there. Only one H1 per page, ALT text and good meta titles/descriptions.

Also, rather than subdomaining your app you can just outlink it to the app if that works better and create copyright in the footer of the app. That way you get a backlink from both the app and the website.

    Hope it helps :)

thank you. Yea its not just for the blog but I def need to start with marketing and keywords on pages, and can not test with a part time dev involved. I need to do things myself and I am already super familiar with no-code tools.

I want to, but im not technical, its been kind of efficient paying and waiting for things I can do myself you know. Its only for the about us page, contact and a few info pages you know?

      1. 1

I’m very technical and would like to keep my hosting costs low. Two different types of users 😄

I recommend earning more, and spending that money to help you move faster.

It is my #1 regret when it comes to starting my business. I made so many choices because i wanted to save money.

Yea, I spent too much initially and wished I knew what to research so I could figure out the right solutions and save money.

          2. 1

I can see that. I definitely save money by using managed databases and an email CRM. For me, the technical components, translations, and seo also comes into play with react.

Which are you replying is lower in cost?

          1. 1

Oh, doesn’t webflow cost $20/mo for code export?

            1. 1

Oh, I didnt think I needed to export code from them, what would that be used for?

              1. 1

If I were using webflow, I’d host the exported pages and my app on the same domain
