React Video Editor just hit Version 6 🚀

Six months in, and looking back at the first version now, I can only cringe. It’s wild to see how far it's come—especially knowing it’s powering video editing projects all over the world.

This update brings some of the most requested features:
✅ Transitions & effects for overlays (text, images, videos)
✅ Captions (BETA) with manual input & JSON support
✅ Light mode + custom theme colors
✅ Direct image uploads to the timeline
✅ Keyframes for better alignment & precision
✅ New keyboard shortcuts for faster editing
✅ Smoother timeline scrolling & zoom

Captions were a big ask, so I’m excited to finally introduce them—with full styling options and JSON support. Keyframes also make it way easier to fine-tune edits.

Still a lot to improve, but it’s getting there. If you’re using RVE, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
