Recently Soft-Launched. What Do You Think of This Landing Page?

this product

I recently soft-launched Gear Offer, a 2 sided marketplace for buying and selling camera gear. I'm trying to keep it quiet while I attract sellers (chicken and egg problem).

I'm hoping to get some feedback on this landing page that's aimed at people looking to sell their used camera gear. I have pointed some PPC ads at this with some success, but there's always room for improvement.

Here's the seller landing page: https://gearoffer.com/page/start-selling

Thanks.

Hey Don! Here are my thoughts for you:

#1: Remove the nav / links. This distracts from the CTA.

#2: Break up the text / remove a lot of it + add headings. Too much to read via PPC and it's not scannable.

#3: Add process diagrams (nicely designed) to show people the old way of selling VS your way.

#4: Add a video. Check the conversion stats!

    Finally,

#5: Try split testing with two CTAs (one above the fold).

    Here are some good examples:

    Keep rocking! 👊👊👊👊👊

      Awesome. Thanks.

Looks like the consensus here is that I need more graphics instead of my current wall of text.

I'll check these links out. I was planning on putting an explainer video together. This is motivation to get that done.

You got it!! Happy to have helped, man! 😎

I'll post V2 when I get it done. Lot's of good ideas here.

IMHO your landing page is more than good enough to validate some important things.

I've found that if you think you need a fully-optimized and amazingly designed landing page to get any customers then you need to rethink some foundational aspects of your business.

That's kind of the assumptions I was working under, but I do think there's value in some graphical elements. Nothing crazy, but a little more to hold interest. I guess that's what A/B testing is good for.

Assuming US market I'm thinking you should be getting about 75 listings per month per $350 using google. bidding $1 per click. you could get more traffic but would be double your cost per listing.

I am in the US market. I wish I was getting 75 listings per month at that rate. CPC is around $8-9 so it's pretty unsustainable. I'd love to hear more.

I love the headline. It really grabs you, but it's really text heavy. I wonder if you can communicate some of the things you have in text with visuals or graphics.

In particular, you have these highlighted bits which are the key points but I think graphics, cartoons, or some kind of visual will make this easier to digest. For example, at the top of the page, could you show something like "how it is today" and have all the bad stuff. Then as you scroll down, you have "selling with gear offer", and it's all the good stuff that makes your platform easy.

    Best of luck!

Yeah, it is really text heavy. I'm going to take your advice and think of how to graphically communicate the message along with the text. Thanks for checking it out. I really appreciate that.

        No problem!

    • Too much text
    • remove nav
    • add images
    • break text with CTAs and images
    • show testimonials/video
    • add a "widget" that shows me how much money i can make selling a used camera gear (i.e. how much is an avg rate for a Canon5D)

    Good luck I am waiting for v2 ! <3
