Remember that during a recession, there is still money circulating in people’s pockets and businesses’ bottom lines. The problem is that everybody is more cautious about spending it.

It's reassuring to see Amy put something into words I've been thinking for a while: Money doesn't "disappear" during a recession. The money still exists somewhere, it's just moving slower.
