Recommendations wanted for software for: forum, faq, jobs board
Hi all,
Looking into this on behalf of a startup client. They don't want to go the self-hosted route, and want to be able to embed on their own site. They're after:
Forum software
I've previously used Vanilla https://vanillaforums.com/en/software/ extensively, so I know what one. It was good, but I used the Open Source version and it did need quite a few custom fixes. The client wants to go no-code, so that leaves their hosted option which starts from $689 a month. Ouch!
There's also discourse https://www.discourse.org/ hosted of course, from $100 a month. The client likes it, but even $100 a month could be a stretch for a startup.
FAQ software
I've always coded these myself, so needed to do some research.
I've found https://www.reamaze.com/ ($20 user/month) which does work nicely and has great site chat options too. The FAQ itself can't be customised with custom icons, which is annoying as that's one of the client's requests.
https://helpjuice.com looks great, beautiful customisation options, $120 a month for 4 users (bit pricey).
Job board software
The client likes https://www.lever.co/ but they have no pricing info so we're probably talking mega-bucks (have requested pricing). I have found https://www.jobboard.io/ ($249 a month) and https://www.smartjobboard.com ($179 a month).
Any other suggestions in any of these categories?
