Record screen & webcam in browser with Budgie

I've been itching for a while now to get a proper solution for multiple stream recordings in https://budgie.chat. My previous solution was hacking in picture-in-picture mode. This allowed the webcam to be picked up as part of the screen recording. I didn't like it, it felt.... "dirty"

After a lot of tinkering I've finally got a prototype implemented using canvas & fabric.js . This opens up a whole world of features; annotations, filters, crop etc.

Expect this to be incorporated and deployed soon :)
I continue to be amazed at what can be done with client-side javascript.
