recos for tools for making H5/svg animations?
I need to create some quick animations for a splash page - what tools do ppl recommend that would do what flash did in the old days?
Something like Figma or sketch but with an animation timeline, and that I can download clean files to embed in a custom react site.
- I looked into lottie but can't see how to author for it (I don't want to buy AfterEffects).
- svgator seems a bit rough...
- found anima timeline plugin for sketch but it's very fiddly to use
I'm a developer so something simple! Unless a designer here wants to barter some dev time for design time!

I don't know if that's exactly what you're after, but I used it years ago and it's very easy to use.
yeah something along those lines. I actually bought a license to hype at one point a long time ago and then they changed their terms, which left a bit of a bad taste...
