Not to be harsh, but in your post you said you are trying to "in a quest to exercise my problem solving and idea extraction muscles"

But posting "what problems are you currently facing that can be solved through automation" is not problem solving or idea extraction.

Look at what people are talking about. Engage them about their problems. Suggest solutions.

Look up 'Sales Safari' for an approach you can use.

if e-commerce is something that's super interesting to you, I'd play the long game and start a store. You can do it by creating a development store under a partner account, connecting oberlo, going through the motions.

I tried my hand at dropshipping over a year ago and all the processes and workflows that began to reveal itself as I went along uncovered a ton of problems, which in turn can become a solution you build.

Sometimes just getting into the thick of it might be the way to see these problems yourself, even if it's not scalable.

Another thing you can do is search for terms such as "how do I", "Is it possbile to" into the search boxes of these subreddits, even the forums for the e-commerce platforms themsevles, to uncover problems people have. Rely on fuzzy search a bit!

I think the Reddit Mods are very sensitive to anything that is even remotely off topic. I’d also get more specific. In the above, do you care about automation or are you looking for a new idea to work on?
