What I did wrong
I was consistent.
Logged in every morning at 9am. Commented on 3-5 posts. Logged out around noon.
Did this for 30 days straight like every Reddit marketing guide told me to.
Account got flagged as a bot. Banned.
The pattern Reddit actually watches
Not your content. Your behavior rhythm.
Real humans are chaotic. They post at 2am because they can't sleep. Disappear for 3 days. Come back at random times.
Bots are reliable. Same time daily. Same activity level. Never miss a beat.

Posted Monday 11pm. Nothing Tuesday. Wednesday 2pm. Disappeared Thursday and Friday. Saturday 9am.

It's a bit of an unfortunate case, we were also shadow banned for no apparent reason. We weren't being consistent on the timings either. It was random.
The dormant account insight is genuinely useful , just started aging a Reddit account for exactly this reason. The 30-day do-nothing period before any activity makes sense now. One question: does subreddit variety matter from day one, or only once you start posting regularly?

Interesting point. Most platforms detect behaviour patterns more than content. Predictable activity often signals automation, so varying activity probably helps accounts look more human.
