Referral Program for App Downloads

Hey - we're looking at running a referral program for app downloads (i.e. if three friends download our app then you receive a free airport lounge pass).

The existing solutions (GrowSurf, Viral Loops, Kickoff Labs) seem to focus on growing email lists. Has anyone used a product which runs directly with app downloads?

    Hey Oli,

    Kevin from GrowSurf here.

Native mobile integration is something we've been hearing a lot from potential prospects. Although, an API is on our roadmap, I'd be curious to hear more about what you're looking for here in terms of integration.

In any case, here are some referral platforms you could use that do support mobile:

    Seems like a great idea

Maybe Gleam? It's not exactly what you looking because they are more about rewards and competitions but they have an app download option...

If you find one, I'd love to know about it. The problem - especially on iOS - is consistent attribution. i.e. knowing where the user came from after they downloaded and are in the app.

There are a few services that offer attribution (Branch is a big one, even firebase has an option) but they never live up to expectations because of the technical limitations in place by iOS.

I've tried to wrap invites/referrals with these before. In my testing it works fine, but I get so many reports of users not getting their attribution that I can't rely on it anymore, so I started using manual processes (invite codes, etc).

Curious to hear other experiences, but I don't think there's a great solution out there yet.
