Hello everyone in the Indie Hackers community! I want to share with you our journey of creating Followr.ai and how we went from rejecting a $200,000 investment to building the product of our dreams.

Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Marcos, one of the three co-founders of Followr.ai. It has been two years since we made a brave yet exciting decision: to quit our jobs and fully dedicate ourselves to our entrepreneurial dream.

Before we embarked on Followr, something extraordinary happened in our journey. We had secured a $200,000 investment for a real estate tokenization software project. However, after careful consideration, we decided to take a different path. We believed that accepting that investment would tie us to fulfilling the investors' desires, and once again, we would find ourselves in a dependent relationship. We realized that we didn't want the investors to pay our salaries to create THEIR long-term product. We wanted to be free to shape the project that WE truly desired.

And that's how Followr was born, our current project. We took the reins of our future and created a product that is authentic and genuinely ours.
We began this exciting journey just two months ago, on March 13th with our own money. From the start, we set ourselves a challenge: to build the platform within a 10-week timeframe. Initially, everything was going according to plan, and within just two weeks, we launched our landing page, thrilled about what lay ahead.

But as we progressed in the development of Followr.ai, our entrepreneurial passion started flowing, and incredible ideas kept pouring in. Each new idea inspired us and drove us to take our product to the next level. However, we also realized that these new ideas were extending the proposed development timeline. That's why we made the decision to set a public launch date.
