Release Early

David Neely @davidkneely

The official launch of our app is June 30th. But I decided to push out the release early. I'm hoping that the more eyeballs are on the app, the better tested it will be for the hard launch on June 30.

Last night, I posted the new build of our app GUTS (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/guts/id1262936494?mt=8) to the App Store. Using Firebase's analytics, I can see that 29% of our users have already upgraded to the new version.

I am planning to let the new upload sit with users. If they have any bugs to report they can use Instabug to report it back to me.

Cheers! Releasing early allows you to fix the inevitable fuckups early. Also, you're less likely to waste time. Delayed releases are more emotional than technical.
