Released Filepush, does your app need it?
Hi all,
For my mobile app Petsy, I needed an easy solution for file uploads. Users had the need to share images and important files of their pets. I wanted to have a solution where I could easily switch between local filesystem and a remote filesystem like AWS S3.
So to scratch my own itch, I created Filepush. It provides one endpoint to simply upload/download files. I'll add more features as I need them in my app.
Maybe this is useful for others. It is self-hosted and quite easy to set up with Docker. Let me know what you think!

Nice idea! IMO you should add hosted option in your readme too. It could be a landing page with email input, or even saying that it's "in beta" and asking to write an email. Who knows, maybe you can create a saas around it? Worst case, nobody will ask for it and you'll be at the same place :)
Do you plan any next steps to make it more valuable, like adding more customization options?

Yes, definitely planning on making it more valuable. Things on my list:
I just put it out there to see if anyone would use it. Adding a landing page is not a bad idea, I'll look into it, cheers!
Also, don't forget that since it's an API, one of the distribution channels might be language-specific libraries. It's a somewhat larger amount of work but you could publish npm/pip/gem/composer packages. All you need is to find a single language/framework that gains some traction and then double down on it.
