The Tour de France was set up by French newspaper L'Auto as a “side project” hoping to increase its circulation.
With just a week before the first tour only 15 riders were signed up.
L'Auto's chief editor delayed the race and promised to pay expenses of the first 50 riders who sign up. He gets 60 riders on the start line.
Now it's the biggest cycling stage race in the world!

Hmm, good question. So what's great is that it's literally a different source each time.
For example, the one about "How Nike sold their first shoes" my friend told me to read the book ShoeDog so I did got really inspired about the origins of Nike and wrote the story after that ...
With the one about "Marketing tools damaging your SEO" I was in a Slack group and someone shared a screenshot of the tip. I thought it was awesome. We got chatting and he provided me with all the info for the story ...
The one about "Growing 2.5 million YouTube subscribers ... " well I was following the whole PewDiPie v TSeries thing in detail so I saw this channel growing and thought it was crazy! So I discovered that one myself.
The more little interesting things you put inside your head (conversations, books, articles, people, whatever ... ) the more you've got to work with!
