Remote Teams Time Tracking?

I am an Upwork freelancer and I really like the Upwork time tracker because I feel like my employer is paying for time that I would be actually working.

I am building a product that uses the same mechanism which is by taking screenshots and tracking activity levels. But for remote teams to track performance and time spent doing work.

It includes simple charts for employers to get an overview.

There is an option for employers to incentivize their employees/freelancers by deadline based bonuses.

Gamified badges to motivate employees/freelancers.

What do you guys think? I would love to know your thoughts :)

I like the idea and if you can implement it correctly I can see a lot of greedy employers who are skeptical about their remote employees or dont trust them much purchasing this.

I will say this though, as someone who works 100% remote for a company, If this does become very popular you will be responsible for a lot of people getting fired haha!

Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but there are tools out there for this
    https://apploye.com/, hubstaff, timedoctor, clockify...

    What would your USP be?

But there is certainly a market for this.

I am targeting people that outsource from Upwork, fiver, freelancer, etc.. Upwork already has a time tracker but some people don’t want to deal on Upwork to avoid paying the Upwork fees. I don’t know how true is this but I feel like employers care more about their full time remote employees more than their remote freelancers.

Yeah I have had a look at all those.

Hubstaff comes with a ton of features that might not be necessary for some people. Also I noticed it’s too strict with the employees. This is simple, lightweight and right to the point. Plus, employers can set deadline based bonuses, give badges of achievement and set a break period for freelancers to take mental breaks or have a quick bite.

        ok,
well I guess you could always build a simple version and get feedback from these users.
        Best of luck :)

Hahah I am trying to find the most liberal way to implement this. I thought of adding a lunch break feature.
