Renters Voices

I had launched my app rentersfeedback.com in November. At that time, the domain rentersvoices.com wasn't available. Finally I got the domain and I transferred from rentersfeedback.com to rentersvoices.com now.

Renters Voices allow renters to provide a review of the places they have rented previously, helping future renters. This can also help landlords to be more accountable.

I would love to hear your feedback about the application.

How is your site different than:

    https://www.apartmentratings.com/
    http://www.apartmentgrade.com/

Is there a way for you to scrape (legally) reviews online to beef up your database? We can always use more of these sites, so good job!

      Good question.

These websites only provide ratings about apartments and not individual houses that people rent. Recently went through a bad experience of living in a bad house, so I had to create something that people can find out more about such places equally.

I haven't thought about scraping the reviews, but that can be a good idea if it is legally possible.

Also the eventual goal is to have enough reviews so I can build some APIs that Zillow or Padmapper can use while looking for apartments or houses.

That's a good plan. Also, I like the difference between yours and theirs. You may want to highlight that. Congrats!

Very cool idea. I’ve often wished New York City had some kind of government database of landlord data and reviews.

Interesting, not sure if Government would offer that, but I always wondered when I was looking for apartments through Zillow or Padmapper that there were no reviews.

I was constantly looking for the domain rentersvoices on different domain providers. Finally it was available on namecheap. It was not a big process, just looking for.

Yes, I also have a few additional features ideas, like once I have enough data, I can add artificial intelligence related recommendation system to show what apartments/houses to rent.
