Repositioned my SaaS 🤔 and added 50+ templates. ❓3 questions❓

We just launched a new marketing site for Browse AI!

Ask

I'd love to hear your thoughts:

  1. Looking at the site, do you understand what the product does and who it is for?
  2. What do you think of the new Templates section?
  3. If you didn't sign up, can you think of an additional feature/template that would've made you sign up?

Some background

I redesigned almost the entire marketing site as we are repositioning the product from a versatile workflow automation software to a more focused data aggregation and monitoring software.

FAQ

Does the new positioning change the product?

The existing product didn't change much, as I knew from the beginning that we're going to have to iterate with positioning and made product decisions accordingly. It just changes what features we're prioritizing on the roadmap.

Are you sure this is the right positioning?

No! But we have some data to back up this decision. We're at a stage that we can quickly iterate with positioning, put it in front of hundreds of people, gather data, and continue iterating.

Results so far (will update this later)

One good sign we already got is that in the first few hours after launching it,
we got 10 newsletter & user signups by just posting it as a comment on a Facebook group post!

P.S. We just got accepted to a government-funded pre-accelerator program that provides coaching, mentorship, and up to $50k in equity-free funding! I wrote more about it here:

A few pointers to improve the landing page

    1. Focus on the customer problem first rather than scraping on landing page. The templates anyways talk about what you solve
    2. Reduce verbiage on the landing page.
    3. The page looks very transactional. Add a personality to it. Give an emotional appeal.

      1. Definitely. I showed the landing page to a few others and they gave the same feedback.
      2. Same! đź’Ż
      3. This comment's new, and it makes sense. I just don't know how. I was thinking of adding testimonials once I have a few. What else do you think would give it the personality/emotional appeal?

The emotional appeal of a landing page fulfills the Physiological, Safety, and belonging needs of the prospects. You can get more information from the Unbounce page and tips from the YC page

Perfect. I'll definitely read those. Thanks so much 🙏

I honestly think you're moving in the right direction. The right thing to do atm is to stay as consistent as you are and don't give up.

I'm gonna do that for sure! Thanks 🙂

First of all, congrats on your funding - that's great!

    1. Yes, I understand what you are doing. For me personally, there is too much text and too much going on the landing page.
    2. I like how you have arrange the templates. It seems easy to use that's great.
    3. I didn't sign up because I don't need any data extraction or website monitoring.

If you don't have customers onboard already, I'd suggest that you focus on that before building more. The reason why I suggest that is because I tried to validate a similar kind of idea by just manually extracting data for people (https://www.fiverr.com/share/NWEE2Z) and over the past week, I've found it hard to find traction even though I advertise this quite a bit. Thankfully, I did not spent time building anything, so all-in-all, it has been a good experience.

That said, it's very likely that I market it incorrectly, so don't let this put you off, just be careful with your time! And it is a really good sign that you already have sign-ups!

Thanks so much for the feedback 🙏

      1. Great point. I'm gonna need some design help to fix that.

Interesting approach (validating an idea on Fiverr) 🤔
The marketing is definitely the biggest challenge. We're going to try a lot of channels (and probably iterate on positioning) and see what works.

Yes, I am done building without validating first.

Speaking of which, if you have a minute, I'd be super happy if you could retweet and comment on this one:
