Respect to all of you ...

In the last few days, I've been working on a new project and despite the fact that I've been a software engineer for a long time I now highly appreciate the effort you indie hackers are doing.

Daily job as a software engineer might not involve all of the followings:

  • Design the logo.
  • Choose a font for the logo.
  • Choose a colour scheme for the website.
  • Decide which hosting to go for.
  • How to separate the static content from the dynamic ones.
  • Which assets (photos, SVG, gifs, CSS framework) to use.
  • Select pricing.
  • Connecting the frontend and backend.
  • Testing different scenarios.
  • Building and maintaining your network.
  • Thinking of launch strategy and where to post.
  • ... much more.

You guys are doing all of that and more. Take a moment to appreciate yourself and recognise you're doing a great job and gaining experience most jobs will not offer you.

Respect to all of you!

Well, you did a great job to stop by to think about us and took more think to write about it.

    Thank you!

Btw, if someone is starting out and is like what next?, you've got a good high-level overview for them here.
