Result of SaaS Pricing Test (Do this)

I built a micro no-code SaaS product for teachers.
Price: $9/mn or $99/yr
Pricing Test: Eliminate free 7-day trial; keep price the same.

December '23 result with free 7-day trial: 23 sign ups, 9 of which stayed and 14 churned.

January '24 result without free 7-day trial: 20 sign ups, 13 which stayed and 7 churned.

I'll continue testing, but are others finding that eliminating trials for low-priced subscription products helping you attract better customers, without seeing a drop in signups?

@elliottzelinskas yes. I haven't done the testing on my product just yet, but I have been in the pricing discipline for more than a decade now and I see that very often.

Free trials are fine, but it really depends on the product. It works fine if your sign ups are in 1000s or higher.

At the very beginning, best would be provide an option to ask for a demo if not just pay for the product.
