Retatrutide pens vs vials — is the pre-filled premium actually worth it?
Doing some spend analysis for a friend's research project and the pen-vs-vial cost gap kept coming up.
Vials: ~£40-£70 per unit, but you're reconstituting, doing bac water, syringe measurements, cold rotation — every step is a place to introduce error or waste.
Pens (pre-filled auto-injector, 40mg): running £99-£129 per unit at the tiers I saw. About 2x the cost per mg on paper, but zero reconstitution and the dosing dial is way tighter. For anyone whose time isn't zero, the math starts to favor pens fast.
The one that shifted my thinking was a UK supplier (PeptidesVerified) doing 40mg pens at £129 single, dropping to £99/pen at 10+ ( https://t.ly/aZ0YE ). At the 10-pack tier the effective cost is basically parity with vials once you count reconstitution time and the odd wasted draw.
Anyone here made the switch either direction? Curious what the actual failure modes have been — I keep hearing about pen dosing dial drift but haven't seen it firsthand.
