Revamping my personal blog
My personal web presence has been languishing recently, and I'd like to start writing a bit more.
Made a small move to update it. It's nothing special; actually, I intentionally didn't struggle over all the small details.
🤞 for some writing mojo in the next months.
Boring Tech Stuff
It's built with Hugo, which is ridiculously fast.
The theme is Axiom, which had almost everything I needed out of the box and includes TailwindCSS so it's easy to extend the styles.
Deployed on netlify for stupid cheap hosting and fast deploys.
I always like these simple web presences, they seem very authoritative in a way, like you didn't need to overdo it if the content is valuable.
Have you ever checked out https://nav.al/? Yours made me think of it immediately

Well said; I hadn’t considered that but now that you say it, I can think of a number of examples like that I was (unconsciously) emulating.

I loved the minimal design you have implemented @jones_spencera. Being a designer myself, I found the design quite elegant and straightforward. In most cases, blog pages are filled with clutter and useless elements. You should check out the blogs on my product page, ruttl.com as well. Might help you come up with new design ideas for the future.

Nice! I like the simple look.
I’m currently doing the same thing - looked into Hugo but settled on Jekyll, also hosted on Netlify. Trying to ship something simple so I can have a platform to start writing as well.
