Review of the last two years of building a startup that didn't quite become sustainable

I appreciate your take on startup life and the honesty of the challenges you've faced. This paragraph especially resonated with me:

"For everyone it’s different, but I do think that there’s something lost when you never take a leap. I feel like I see this when people climb the career ladder and just keep climbing. There must be some opportunity unlocked by taking a little bit of stability and salary that you could’ve gotten and doing something else with that energy."

I often find it difficult to put into words why I'm doing this, rather than just climbing the career ladder. There's an ineffable quality to building a thing of your own which is sometimes tough to pin down. I think you've captured that quality nicely.
