Review -test cold call/email text for Saas Contact form -- thoughts/comments!

Hi...

More in my search for elusive Saas operations!!

I'm crafting a basic cold/email/template to submit to the "contact" forms ( a really bad method -- but the once I find have no way of connecting to anyone)

I'm basiclaly looking to find/talk to someone at the operation about their "Customer Acquisition" Strategies.

If you get this far and you're inclined/bored, take a few mins and review what I have. -- Comments/Thoughts welcome.

thanks

Hi.

I'm Bruce Douglas, part of a small team working on a project targeting students at 500-600 of the largest US Colleges. The project is a hybrid "Chegg" model, providing a (cheap) Textbook Platform, combined with Recruitment functions. The project is in development, and not yet live.

Our reason for reaching out to you (and other Startup/Saas operations) has to do with customer acquisition (ours and yours). We think we can help you grow your userbase at almost $0 cost.

Our user growth process employes the usual referall/viral approach, with users referring other users. The referrer (parentUser) is then granted some "reward", based upon the numbers of successful users who join. The process then repeats. This succeeds based on the value of the "rewards" system, which is where you come in!

Rather than grant the referrer a cash reward, we indend to provide a "reward" of currated "Saas Software" Apps. This copies what Github has accomplished with their Github Education/Development Pack.

The majority of US Colleges provide courses in standard topics/disciplines, but don't really venture to cutting edge technology (Saas webapps). Using the Saas Apps as reward, exposes students to frontline tech, as well as being an efficient Customer Acquisition channel for the Saas App. This accomplishes two things:

  1. Better prepared/exposed students to technology with a faster/better onboarding process as the student enters the workforce,
  2. An effective/cheap way of spreading the use of the Saas Apps among a coveted/growing target userbase.

Ongoing validation conversations with Hiring Managers are positive with the key managers saying additional skills from differnt Saas Apps would be a positive for the candidate. Candidates with exposure/nderstanding of different Saas Apps gives the student possible advantages over the students who are less prepared.

At the same time, students who walk into the job are able to "introduce" the "Saas App" to others within the operation. This is basically the strategy employed by other companies that turned to the "colleges" to grow their userbase and work their way into the enterprise operation.

A quick read of your "pricing" section shows you have a "free' tier (or an educational tier).

I would like to have a conversation with someone in your "Sales/Marketing/Biz Dev" area
to discuss if this might be an opportunity you would be interested in being a part of.

Please feel free to get back to me with any thoughts/comments on this!

Thanks/Regards,
