RHINAL

Hey Indie Hackers,

I’m currently navigating intensive clinical environments where my brain is constantly overloaded with fast, messy data. I tried using typical AI tools to offload my thoughts, but generic conversational UIs just act like transient chat logs and worse, they hallucinate facts to fill missing gaps.

So, I started building RHINAL. I call it an External Neocortex.

It uses a unique 60/40 canvas approach:

The 60% Input Side: A rapid, raw terminal to dump unorganized, chaotic human thoughts.

The 40% Output Side: An engine that instantly structures that raw text into permanent, cleanly tagged database modules.

The differentiator: It has a strict Anti-Hallucination Protocol. If data is missing or ambiguous, the sync halts and prompts you with a highly targeted question rather than guessing. Plus, it runs on 100% local compute for absolute privacy.

Excited to document the build journey here. I'd love to know: how do you currently bridge the gap between your chaotic brain dumps and structured knowledge bases?

The anti-hallucination part is interesting, but what caught my attention is that you're treating uncertainty as something to preserve instead of eliminate.

Most AI products optimize for producing an answer. You're optimizing for knowing when not to produce one. That's a very different design philosophy, especially for workflows where accuracy matters more than speed.
