    Overspending by 30%?! I know having "buyers" is super common in the FMCG industry and even retail - I don't think I've ever heard of a "Head Buyer" for example in the context of a SaaS company/startup. Maybe it makes sense though - these figures are shocking!

      My advice would be, if you're a bootstrapped founder or an early-stage startup, just be mindful of what you're spending - if it's not useful and/or necessary: don't buy it. If you're a bigger startup and have a number of people influencing the growth of your tech stack, consider asking your accountant and/or auditor for advice - if they specialize in tech companies, they might have an idea of what most companies do and don't need, or at least be able to give you a heads up if you're going 30% over the average!!
