Hey all, I'm John, founder over at https://artinres.com.
We just redesigned our landing page flow for reasons (I'll explain in the comments if anybody is curious! I don't want to bias your feedback). It would mean a ton if some folks wouldn't mind taking a look at our landing page and writing some notes.
The harsher and honest-er, the better. And if you want me to take a look at yours, leave a comment below! I won't go easy on you, either.
Hey! This is what I noted.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Dhiksha
I don't understand how it works based on that website, also I don't understand pricing or anything. Doesn't make me want to continue even though the base idea interests me.
Hi John. Don't get the first image (woman sitting at window). Is she the artist, does she handle the shipping or is she just trying to sell her pot plants. You could use a better image. Enjoyed the other images. Unclear how many dinner dates I need to skip until painting would be mine. Are you rental or hire purchase or both or something inbetween?
I think I'd be an ideal customer for you -- this is a really interesting concept and I feel overwhelmed by art but I want great pieces in my house.
I didn't sign up though, because I'm left with two overwhelming questions:
How can I make sure the artists are paid fairly? A testimonial from an artist would go a long way for me!
how do I ship it back? At first glance it seems logistically complicated and I'd just want a little more handholding. Maybe a link to a returns FAQ or guide so I can better understand the process and be reassured it's not as complicated as I think!
I've clicked all the way through several times and I think the overall impression I have is that it is a lot of style and not enough substance. The slideshow concept is good, the copy is good, but I want more information about how it will work. Tell me more about the artists and the process.
I think it looks good. Image being on the left is fine. No real need to add a way to go back (reload is there).
I think the word can spread, because it's kind of a neat idea. Did I get this right? Art rental, basically? You pay a monthly fee and you swap out the art. Keep it going, kind of thing?
I really like the idea and the website in general.
Same as some here, it'd be nice to be able to see a few more examples of art one could rent, with possibly some price points.
I noticed you don't have a favicon, not a deal breaker, but it'd be cleaner.
On the last "slide", I'd recommend using just the email address. Less personal, but also less friction so you might get more signups.
I don't know if its just me but the image being on the left side of the screen feels weird.
its certainly unique, never seen a slideshow based landing page
Would be nice to see an 'Explore' to see what kinds of paintings are available and at the price that is pitched.
That said, I just signed up b/c this looks pretty cool and I'd be curious to see if any of the paintings fit my taste ;)
Hey, the landing page looks pretty good!
