Ripper of a February. Hello March.

I'm in a very good mood right now.

It was a great month and I got results better than I expected. Our only two metrics we're tracking right now before we launch are:

  1. Number of early-beta signups
  2. Release product - no matter how shabby it looks - by end of March

For February, I wanted to sign up 30 beta users for our early-birds offer for imvidu.com. Needless to say, I managed to hit and exceed the number. Closing it at 38 users signed up for Beta for February.

Yes, it was bloody hard work as nearly all of it came from personal outreach. The biggest impact came from:

  • Facebook- direct outreach (highest)
  • Facebook- groups (few signups)
  • LinkedIn- direct outreach (minimal)
  • Referrals (a few, but amazing)

I'll tell you right now - Facebook Groups and Referrals give you the best feeling, with referrals really giving a quality dopamine 'high' ;p

I had a few come in where I don't know where they came from, so I assume that's from the posting in the various groups.

For my outreach: I keep all my chats very conversational, try and learn about my future customers and identify pain points, so yes, it's hard work - but hey, it's not costing me besides my time.

So, I'm slightly ahead of my quarterly target and the tech is on track too.

Goodbye Feb. Hello March.

    Well done @Jajaygrow.

Inspiration for me to start ramping things up as well with the outreach. Are you asking stuff like “how much would you be willing to pay” and similar questions to know that you are building a product that people want to pay for?

Not quite. Will focus on monetization next quarter, after launch. Right now I'm trying to get a sense of what the potential feature roadmap will look like.... And also testing the target market to see who the product will click with ASAP.
