Road to $1000 in 2 weeks Day 2

Hey folks I'm building underlineme.com

I'm doing this as a part of a challenge to validate, build and market a full product in 2 weeks time.

#Day 2

So I finally decided on the name. This was my criteria:

  • It should be unique. I don't want collisions on search results with other brands/entities
  • It should be brandable. Eg: Markalizer instead of markup. WordHippo instead of wordeditor or something
  • It should be under 14 characters
  • Should be a .com. If not available, .co, .io and .app are fair compromises

After much searching I went for a literal meaning. This was no accident. One look at the UI and you'll know the reason behind the name. Luckily the domain name was available too and the serp results looked clear so I got the domain name.

This day I've setup the landing page for UnderlineMe. The site is build on top of Nuxtjs. Why Nuxt? Since I'm building the extension on Vuejs it makes sense to utilize vue components as much as possible.

The subscribe form is powered by emailoctopus.

I designed the logos myself using Figma. It took about 1-2 hours. I also designed the logos in various formats and made 2 versions - a low detail one for the actual favicon and a high detail one for promo images and stuff.

The next few days will be spent on development. Ideally once I'm done, I'll put it up on CWS and signup beta users for this.
