Roadmap + what's new: natural-language scheduling beta is live, iOS app in progress

First of our regular update posts

Going forward, we'll use posts like this to share what we're working on, what's in testing, and what we're focused on next.

Natural Language Scheduling (Beta)

You can opt in today under Settings > Experimental. Flip on "Enable natural-language scheduling" and you can type phrases like "last Friday of the month" or "every other Wednesday" right in the task title, and TurboHog fills in the recurrence for you.

A few things worth knowing:

  • A typed date is treated as a deadline by default. Prefix it with "start" if you want a start date instead.

  • "Workday" means Monday through Friday.

  • It reads English phrases only for now.

  • Turning the experimental feature off disables the natural-language recurrence editor. Any series you already created keep generating tasks, and you can rename them or switch them to a basic repeat.

If a phrase gets parsed incorrectly, or one you'd expect to work doesn't, let us know below. That feedback is exactly what shapes where this goes.

In progress: iOS app

Right now you can use TurboHog on mobile through a browser or by installing the PWA. We're building a proper iOS companion app to go alongside that. Good progress so far but no firm date quite yet. We're aiming to get a beta test live before long. We'll post here when new updates are available.

Next up: Android

Once the iOS app is solid, we're moving on to an Android build for the Play Store.
