Hi, Roast my landing page. Then share yours. I will roast you back.
Let's make this brutal :)
Here is my landing page https://www.recurringx.com
Hi, delete this movie please. You cannot do a b2b business with that movie, when people see only one word per second, which, I think, is useless, looks like a pitch from bad salesman) Stop writing this words like- innovative and amazing everywhere. Fix your wording «either.Because” or better make it short. And still...not easy to get the full VP even in 30 secs. Sorry for that way of roasting) PS I don't have a landing page)
honestly I kinda liked the video, the beat and the one word actually kept me engaged, idk if its cause my age. One thing I would say is make the video a tad bit slower cuz I couldn't read some of the words.
Thanks for your advice.
Hi @Tiltforindie Great roast. Love the way you explained. I am taking this advice to my improvement list.
Thank you
Hey Sarah, I recorded my first impressions of RecurringX... hope it's useful for you, best of luck and shout if you'd like any more feedback! https://www.loom.com/share/202f7fb153e0485fa7e398dbfb8d48d3
Hi @mikeyh
Great feedback and Roast. Love the way you explained. I will keep you posted about my next changes .
Thanks
Great, well done for putting it out there and getting feedback :)
Just my $.02, I hope it helps. You can roast mine https://webstoreinsight.com/
Hi,
Thank you for your help and suggestions. I will keep that in mind when I will change this.
Here is the Roast Back:
I can't write further as I have 0 idea about this and the project not explain what it is for ....
Hope this help.
Thanks, it helped already. I launched recently and I was not sure if a landing page is needed, you proved it is.
Now a these days, designs have to be up to a certain standard.
Landing page is minimalistic and I like that
CTA is great on your landing page
So, correct me if I am wrong, clients can sell their own SaaS products by white labeling to their customers?
You get that and just won London bridge :)
Share your landing page to get the roast back...
Sorry, you lost me on the London Bridge.
I don't understand the metaphor
It's ok.
I am just trying to help
I was joking as you did understand 100%
Your feedback means a lot.
Thank you.
Haha, glad to help
Good luck
https://www.yirla.com
Your service offer is not 100% clear, I understand its something about writer who published articles or newsletters.
Also I see the CTA is not good.
You asking to call a call center number but no where in the landing page you added any list subscribe option other popup (the headlines on the popup is not influencing enough to subscribe). Definitely you loosing opportunity here to get more from your site visitors.
Thank you Sarah. There is a CTA for Schedule a call - did you see that? It links to a calendar invite.
Will work on the rest.
I missed that! Probably its not noticeable there.
It is good. I liked the clear CTA - Email with Get invited.
I saw the 25 second video and had to scroll to read the copy.
Unfortunately I dont understand what I am looking at or what you do.
I think there is a need to make a simple positioning statement with "We do this for these people with this problem".
If I have to scroll to get that then I think you might want to move that up.
Thank you. I will try to improve this. What is your page to roast back :)
All of the feedback here is awesome. If you're looking for some more, feel free to join my Facebook group. We are trying to get a lot of good input for landing pages like yours in the community :) https://www.facebook.com/groups/lpsfosaas/
Hi Sarah,
positive:
negative:
It would be great if you roast our website. Especially our pricing page. https://timebuzzer.com/
Hi Sarah! The landing page's is looking pretty good!
Here's my feedback:
Here's mine to roast: https://crowdparty.app/
Great job otherwise, i love the design.
Hit me with your best shot: StockAlarm.io
The CTA "Get Invited" box appears 4 times! I don't feel it is necessary, looks kinda of desperate. Why not using a floating box that keeps on the screen (css equivalent of position:fixed) as you pass by the first one?
I would also suggest to not use youtube as video provider (if you are not going to promote the Youtube channel), as it show the related videos at the end, which may show some distracting thumbnails or even competitors.
Social Media buttons in the footer are too close to each other (26x26 pixels without any margins around), it would be hard for mobile users to tap on them. Apple recommends 44x44 pixels as minimum size for buttons.
The Testimonial box, has 3 buttons on the right, but it actually shows more than the first 3, they are actually 5. You can't scroll to "Patricia Boral" with any buttons, unless you let it autoplay to it.
You need to format the text a little bit, especially the first white paragraph "Don’t you wish to grow your business and make your clients happier than ever?". After a dot, it doesn't start a new line and sometimes has a space after it and sometimes not. I am not an expert, but i think it's wrong to start a new phrase with "Because" or "And" (with even the capital too), it makes it hard to read and doesn't make sense, because it should be linked to another phrase before with a comma.
Slow/takes forever to load, make your header longer, too basic.
I'd build a new landing page if I were you, versoly.com might help :)
Thank you!
Hi Sarah, here is my opinion. Too much text everywhere! You need to keep each bucket with 3 lines maximum. Also, move the testimonials up if you can, I believe a lot of people takes them into consideration :)
I'll only ask you to sign upPeerPull and join a room with us :)
Hi @joalavedra good roasted.
I check your site and pretty solid explanation of the product in the landing page.
May be add some network members experience in the page helps a bit to get more sign up.
there's may too much going on, the video is actually good but why not just make a explanation video and remove all the other pitches, from the site. showcase the potential products and services. mine is opsdeveloper.io
@preston great roasted ,I will keep your advice in updates.
I checked your one and here is what I find inconsistent.
Your headline offering employers but then start showing jobs. I think you need to do reverse, employers like to see candidates not jobs!
Hi Sarah,
@barrymcgee great roasted. I will keep your advices.
The number one question I have while I was initially looking through the page is "what sass product am I reselling?"
I would make it clearer about what service it is that the end user will resell
Thank you for your advice.
The alignment of the main heading/subheading and video feel off. They should both be vertically centered on top of that first blue backdrop. Right now they are top-aligned, so it looks unusual IMO.
Your main CTA, the email and "Get Invited" button, are blocked by my AdBlocker (uBlock).
Your copy is generally too wordy. I would reduce it and break it into paragraphs where possible.
My site: https://quickchart.io
@typpo great advice. I will try to keep my next updates .
I visited your landing page and find the gap why I need to use that?
Other than that question, the interactive presentation is great.
Thanks :) Good luck!
Hey @RecurringX
I like
I don't like
I'm in the middle of build Virtual Mojito 2.0, a lot of ideas are already in place but yet to build. I'd love to hear your feedback on my Version 1.0
Cheers!
Hi,
Thanks for your roast . Your product explain itself.
The only issue I found, I do not see any clear CTA or any goal from product side. What you trying to do with visitors? Just let them visit and access on the directory without knowing them?
That's indeed helpful feedback. I'm in the middle of building version 2.0. Would definitely include this. @RecurringX - Can I tag you on Twitter when the feature has launched? You are on my appreciation list :) Let me know, here's my link
Hi! I like the video, but unfortunately it doesn't explain what it does, or how it works. It's just a cool fast paced video that may work very well as an intro for an Ad campaign.
My suggestion is to add a demo with a voice over on it. If you don't have video editing skills you can just create a loom.com.
I also think the idea has a a lot of potential, but it would help to understand which are the products that people will be able to offer.
As it is now, it's hard to: 1) Undersatnd what you do. 2) Understand the products available. 3) Understand the value. Copy needs work.
Overall design looks great!
Hi kevntz,
Thank you for the roast. Its really helps.
Hello Sarah !
On the content
-Honestly I didn't understand well 😅but I might not be the target...
Things you can do to improve the design :
-Less texts in the paragraphs (I would cut by 50%)
-Reading only titles should make sense
-Use left align for your h1 (if you keep the 2 col layout),
-Use svg everywhere you can (the logo is appearing blurry for on my retina screen)
-Bold h3 to enhance contrast
-Use the same border radius on buttons and on text inputs
-Use a lighter grey for the email input
My landing page (actually for a client)
Ready for a roast :)
https://loancover.io/
Thank you. The landing page looks good. However 2 issues:
Is it a hosted product or do you offer api service only? That's make me confused as in start I feel it's a hosted service but then when I see api related conten than I feel its api service.
You need to give a clear picture about that.
The pricing plan not makes any sense without any number or features.
Thanks for the feedback, very useful !
Hi,
Looks a bit confusing to me
Not a fan of the video playing automatically with sound (personal opinion)
The first block is grey text on white background ..hard to read
Some white spaces that can be reduced?
There is a lot to read (ok i'm a lazy guy) ^^
Not sure I understand what it is about, but I'm probably not your target
Pictures are missing in the bottom slider
Not a specialist at all so don't take this a granted :)
My page is https://cloudbuddies.io (still WIP)
Thank you for your roast! It helps. I understand the copy get boring and not cleared the product concept.
Here is details about your site:
You're welcome.
The title jumps from left to right on page load.
Good color scheme.
Although the 3 images are rather small, cant see anything in side the window.
Btw what did you use to do the recording?
Why are these words capitalized? Complexity, Cloud, Infrastructure, Deployments, Chat, Buddy.. its not a title, its paragraph text no?
Does it work only on AWS builds? What other cloud tech does it work with?
its like a cli with a ui?
Looks good.
Hi,
Yes, wanted to put some text animation, is it too much ?
Thanks for the color scheme liking
Didn't want to make the pics too big but if you click on them they get zoomed.
A tool called screenflow but you can make this with quicktime also and then edit with imovie or something similar.
No particular reason, this is something I usually do (and saw it also done by other friends) we put capitals a bit everywhere...maybe some IT people type of thing.
For the moment we focus on AWS only, but we plan to extend it to GCP and Azure in the future... if it's get attraction.
Yes we can say that, an easier Terraform, with a nice chatbot style frontend that asks you what is required to build well architected cloud resources or lets you deploy well architected preconfigured resources.
You can have a closer look when u click on the get early access button: https://archie.cloudbuddies.io
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated :)
Hey Sarah,
When I loaded your page, it was blank, in the top left section and looked almost broken. Here is how I saw it: https://prnt.sc/u9h1c3
Some other thoughts:
I watched the video, but didn't quite understand what your product is. Something to do with building a SaaS.
Once I highlighted the title and was able to see it, I saw "
Upsell Your Services with Hottest Subscription based White-Label SaaS Products"
Reading this line-- I am still a bit lost as to what it is that you are offering. It just feels like a mouthful of words that seem like they say something but are ultimately lost on me. It sounds like there are some white label saas product collection(s) that I can pitch to client as my own? Not really clear.
"Be the first to get invited when the app gets" -- so now it sounds like it's an app or some sort? Is it a marketing app? I am not entirely sure. The last word in that sentence seems out of place.
Once I get to the "Marketplace" headline, it starts to be a bit more clear, but reading the text below I'm still confused. What exactly is this and how does it work? Would my clients be saving money by paying once.. for what? What is my role in this as a consultant? Sorry, but unclear.
I see a bunch of fluff words like "innovating solutions" which doesn't inspire any confidence in this being something that's for me.
Then we get to the headline of ".. benefits of our services" and now it sounds like a service. Even more confused.
The entire page feels very wordy. Very few to no visuals and the testimonial images are broken. I do consulting work and this might be something I'd be interested in IF I understood what it is. But if I may be super honest, I would leave this page on loading. Mostly because I expect a very high quality landing page / product in the marketing / SaaS space and unless I saw clear value from your product within 10 seconds or so, I'd just close the window.
Lastly, I feel like this is probably something cool. Reading between the lines makes it sound like this is a new approach to selling SaaS products to clients, but the details of what this is / how it works are sparse. Maybe the features section explains it but it's hard to read with current formatting... just does not give me the motivation to figure out what this is.
I hope this was a bit helpful!
Here is my product if you want to give it your meanest criticism ;) https://www.swipe.page/?dc=ih
Cheers,
Gene
Hi Gene,
Wow! You gave a huge insight. I was fearing how can I roast your landing page after seeing such details explanation.
Anyway, I although go through your landing page and find few things.
That 2 pieces I get wrong with your landing page.
Thanks for your feedback! Yeah I need to fix the mobile banner issue. What’s the most confusing thing about the price to you?
How the pricing works by usages units or feature set. Not understanding that part.
I see. I guess I need to make it more clear that there is one price and 3 tiers. Basically, when the first tier runs out, the price goes up.
What I will do is add a little description under each pricing tear to explain them (that they are disabled until the first tier sells out).
This is to add urgency and scarcity, but if it wasn't clear to you, chances are it's also confusing to others, so I need to work on it!
Hey love the video - what did you use to make it? Only criticsm of it would be to maybe show some screen shots in the actual video itself as at the moment it's harder to tell from that video what it does. I only say that because usually when I see a video I'll watch that before reading anything else. I could be the only one so obviously try and see if any one else has the same feedback.
Also FYI I can't comment on the copy or anything because this is all I see when I visit (Chrome latest mac)
https://imgur.com/a/URgtLJl
Thank you for the roast. Its really helps. Specially the screen shot with browser version and device.
I take stock vidoe from https://elements.envato.com/stomped-opener-for-premiere-pro-E6HC5AN to create this.
No problem! Best of luck with the product!
Never a big fan of autoplay videos, especially ones that blow my speakers off my desk.
Colors Good, I like the undraw like artwork, same but different enough.
The logo has a lot going on, need margin between the logo and the tag line
The tag line is a bit long, perhaps simplify from 10 words to 6.
Lot of text without proper spacing in the middle of the page.
The under the fold looks better then the above the fold, i like the 6 grid like points.
roast me along with 1 positive comment : https://www.sinosend.com
Great Roast! I will keep your suggestion on my update version.
I just visited your site and looks cools. Very clear example what you trying to offer.
But the biggest problem I see you may not get Customers are:
1 . Why do I use this where I have option to use dropbox or google drive?
2. What is the value you driving comparing those giants?
Thanks
Is there no background?
The text above the get invited email box is hardly readable for me? (I might have bad eye sight haha)
I personally hate it when video's with sound auto play...
Images don't seem to load?
this "Don’t you wish to grow your business and make your clients happier than ever?" section seems to have a super long paragraph, can you cut it down in half?
I've scrolled like 20% and seen 3 times the same signup, maybe a bit much?
That purple block is really cool, but I would round every corner
from there downwards is actually very nice, the faq and tesimonials.
Roast me if you can please: https://daily-dev-tips.com/
What I see now there are a lot of empty spaces in the page. There is no graphic, sounds like you accommodated for graphic but there is no.
Your headline is not that clear, it is wordy - might need to shorten that also might need to use larger font to make it more visible.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for your valuable suggestions.
Please share your landing to get back the Roast :)

Hi,
Thanks for your Roast! It helps.
Visited your landing page.
First I think its something AI Based sales prediction but when I check demo it's just looks very simple charts you put by copy paste.
The demo is really poor vs what you trying to offer in landing page.
Hi, thanks. TBH, I'm testing the concept, it's not developed though yet.
Hi azhan! Took a look at your concept. Not easy to get the an idea what is out for me as a client. The Example with graphs is not answering that question too. I would rather go away.
Thanks for your feedback. Perhaps predicting future sales of a business doesn't provide benefits.
Hah) it doesn't mean that. ) it is all about positioning, understanding your ideal customer profile)
I guess I could focus on how it helps businesses advertise products in the next few days. Would that be a target niche?
