I'm bad at copywriting, but I'm good at building things. So I built an app to help me write better titles when I post on Reddit.
I'm launching on Product Hunt on Tuesday.
Please roast my app!
This a great product. It gave me the exact title I had hoped to use on a Reddit post. It didn't just give me the words, it gave me the rhythm. It didn't just give the rhythm, it gave me the style. It didn't just give me the style, it gave me the cadence. This product is useful, because without the cadence and an engaging title on a Reddit post, no matter how great the article is, it won't get anywhere. This product can actually make you get somewhere on Reddit.

Great concept. I had some whitespace at the end of the subreddit input and it told me the subreddit wasn't found and used a credit. Not sure if this is intentional but if I was paying money, I'd be frustrated.
I will add that it generated titles completely unrelated to what I wrote. Cool ideas for posts though!

I noticed this too. I think some subreddits end up being more difficult to imitate than others.

Makes sense. Good page. I don't like how you have to reset the form. I want to be able to tweak it and then run it again without having to re-write everything.
Clicking Reset should put your cursor into the Title Input (2nd input) without erasing anything. If that's not the behavior you see, could you let me know what browser you see that behavior in? Thanks for noting this 📝
Tested it, that is the behavior. But to me 'reset form' clears everything so I didn't click it.
I would expect it to just unlock the inputs after success idea generation.
Not the landing page, but I would like subreddit suggestions. Like pick your product category, you suggest subreddits. Would make it easier to use.

It is pretty good! I just get annoyed generally with these credit systems, but I m seeing that most AI ones work in the same way. Is there any particular reason for that?
There is. The other building blocks of apps (servers, databases) have costs that are much easier to predict over time. For instance, a database of a certain size costs X-per-month.
AI, on the other hand, actually incurs costs every time it's used, which is measured in this unit I've heard called compute-hours or machine-hours.
In any case, as a business, that means that if you were to charge a one-time fee for an AI service eventually you would be losing money. If you were to charge a fixed subscription price, then you run the risk that someone will use more compute-hours than the fixed subscription covers and you're losing money.
I think many apps use credit systems because they're closest to the every time it's used cost of AI.

Examples would be solid. I get the idea after reading but I think it is something that could really do well if you share posts and all the upvotes it gets on reddit. Just one or two examples like that and the proof is self-explanatory.

I just used this and its great! I was skeptical about ai, but this helping me helped convince me more of ai's use. How do you plan to monetize this?
Thanks! Users only have a certain number of free title-generations per month. After that they'll need to purchase more in packages of 50 for $5.

It's actually pretty good.
Going from 3 credits down to 1 credit after just one suggestion is an unfriendly experience.
The titles are a little too generic; adding emotional words in there would certainly help.
The price point seems reasonable.

The benefits of the product are clear to me.
One thing I'm questioning is whether having an optional step first is a good idea or not. My sense is that it unnecessarily adds cognitive load to someone's thought process as they're evaluating the app.
One potential idea would be to reveal the authentication option after someone has tried the app. At this point, someone has proven, to some degree, that they're getting value from the product, so they're then more likely to sign up as they are now in need of the extra features. Something to at least test, anyway.
When entering the name of a subreddit, I was not sure if I entered it correctly. E.g. is the subreddit named "Entrepreneur" or "Entrepreneurs"? Having an autocomplete feature would be nice so people don't have to flip over to Reddit.com to check. (Note: it's good that you launched without this feature since it's not critical at this early of a stage.)
Question: can people save their results if their create an account?

Yeah, smart to wait until you have people using the app before implementing any more features.
I do not know if saving results will be an important feature. People may already have tools they use for saving and prioritizing postings. I can imagine all sorts of things people may want to do (e.g. categorize/tag results, automatically run queries on a weekly schedule, use anti-keywords, AI post-writing buddy, etc.) but probably best to get people using the app and then interview them to reveal opportunities.
