Roast my form builder, please?

I designed a form builder (https://formlick.com) from scratch and now I am not sure how people are going to use it.

It would be really fun if you roast it hard.

You don't have to sign up to use the form builder, just go to the landing page and use the builder.

if you are serious about getting roasted check Burn list https://www.theburnlist.com/

I want to roast the landing page a little first:

I feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to look.

    • It might help to declutter and create some hierarchy. The floating illustrations look a little scattered and distract me.
    • Give it some room to breathe. The form doesn’t need to be above the fold.
    • The headline could be easier to read without the arrows

The form itself also feels overloaded and cluttered. Have you thought about just using one small chat bar where users can enter the prompt (sort of like in the pop-up)?

This would show me right away why this builder is unique and useful. But in a fast and simple way.

If you are interested, I can go into more detail about the design, let me know if I can help.

It would be very helpful if you could also add different use cases on your channel. It will help the consumers understand how your product is different

with the "different use cases" what do you mean? Can you please give any example?

I think the form builder works pretty well but I guess I'm struggling to see the advantages over using form builders that are built in to web apps already?

You should consider outlining the advantages over that use case as I feel like that's your primary competition.

Some points that I want to make is-:

    1. The content on the website is enough to understand what formlick does.
    2. Visually, I believe your website could be better and more attractive.
    3. It's a bit expensive to my liking.

Visually its appealing... except for the demo. Its barely working and yellow text in the gray background is completely unreadable.

thank you, btw i am not sure which demo you are talking about. The demo form has a light gray background with black text. Could you please share a picture if possible?

The "Try our simple AI form builder" part.

        After you entered a prompt.

oh okay, got you! It is actually generated by the AI and need to fix that part

    • there so many form builders out there...
    • The 400$ lifetime deal is off-putting sounds like this would be the most expensive form builder out there
    • The demo form looks standard
    • The form generator, I see you tried to make something new and special, but it seems weird initially, first look is not intuitive due I can understand where you come from... Maybe it's better to have like "Edit this title" which looks identical to the final title, not 100% sure how it would look, just an initial idea
    • The next button on the form builder has no feedback when it doesn't work (empty texts), but the menu does allow you to skip, and when it works it skips from first section to the second, but the second section is an infinite loop I assume?
    • I think breadcrumbs/tabs would do better than the burger menu for the sections
    • I'm not sure I can imagine the value in ai for this the way you put it except saying your in trend. It might be useful if it's actually Integrated in a way to improve titles/questions/ as a guild for a process.. basically a form build is already over customised process vs a generic text generator ai

👆Great feedback. I'll add a +1 to everything he said.

I love the idea of having an interactive demo in the hero section of your site... but it didn't seem to work for me. When I tried to "Generate using AI", it paused for a few seconds, the modal disappeared, and nothing seems to have changed. It feels like this demo might be broken, which doesn't inspire confidence in the tool.

Good luck fixing this up, I hope this feedback helps!
