Roast my funnel: 4.55% CTR, $0.19 CPC, but only 2-3% convert to paid. What am I missing?

Dog longevity SaaS (FursBliss). Targeting senior dog owners via Meta ads.

The Numbers (Feb 1-28)

  • Ad spend: $256
  • Clicks:** 1,151 (4.55% CTR)
  • CPC:** $0.19
  • Registrations: 14 ($15.70 per reg)
  • Free → Paid: ~2% (1-2 conversions at $9/mo)

The problem: Great acquisition metrics, terrible monetization.

Pricing
Free: Unlimited tracking + 3 AI recs/month + LOY-002 updates
Premium ($9/mo or $59/yr):** Vet reports + unlimited AI + eligibility tracking

My Theory on What's Broken
Free tier gives the core value (unlimited tracking). Premium adds "nice to haves" but no urgency.

People complete the quiz, get free recommendations, then ghost. They don't return to build the daily tracking habit that makes premium valuable.

What I've Tried
8+ ad hook tests (found winner)
Shortened quiz (7 questions)
Added ER triage tool
Landing page optimization (85.9% don't bounce)
Still can't crack 3% conversion

What Would You Test First?

  • Gate unlimited tracking behind paywall?
  • Drop free AI recs to 1/month instead of 3?
  • Add different premium features people actually want?
  • Focus on 30-day retention before pushing premium?

Tech: Next.js 14, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Stripe, OpenAI, Meta Pixel, Vercel

MRR goal: $500 (currently ~$25-50)

Roast me. Where's the leak?
