Roast my homepage

Title: Roast my Homepage

Hey Indie Hackers Community!

Today, I'm excited to bring my website, Kinetik Dynamics, to the table for a little "homepage roast." I believe in the power of community feedback, and I'm here to soak it all in, both praise and constructive criticism.

The Vision Behind Kinetik:
Before we dive into the roast, let me give you some context. Kinetik Dynamics is a web development company specializing in managed services. Our goal is to empower businesses with top-notch web solutions, and our homepage is our digital storefront.

What We're Aiming For:

  1. Clarity: We want our visitors to instantly grasp what we do and how we can help them.
  2. Engagement: We aim for a homepage that keeps users scrolling and exploring.
  3. Trustworthiness: It's crucial that visitors feel confident in our capabilities.
  4. Modern Appeal: Staying up-to-date with the latest design trends is a priority.

Areas We'd Love Feedback On:

  1. Overall Impression: What are your initial thoughts upon visiting the homepage?
  2. Messaging: Is our value proposition clear, or is there room for improvement?
  3. Design & Visuals: Do the aesthetics resonate with a modern, tech-savvy audience?
  4. Navigation: Is the user journey smooth and intuitive?
  5. Performance: How's the load time and responsiveness on various devices?

What's on Our Mind:

  • We're proud of our range of managed services, and we want that to shine through.
  • The flat-fee, hassle-free aspect of our service is a unique selling point.
  • We want visitors to take action – whether it's getting in touch or exploring our services.

Your input can be as detailed or concise as you'd like. Share your thoughts on what's working well and what could use some tweaking. Don't hold back; we're here to learn and grow!

A Note of Thanks:
Your time and insights are highly appreciated. We know the Indie Hackers community is full of brilliant minds, and we're excited to see what you have to say.

    Hey, I like your homepage.
    Here are some personal feedback:

    • Recent work carousel:
I would like to be able to scroll left and right without having to wait for it to move.
It would be great if by clicking on it I could go directly to the customer website but if not available I would like to see at least a case study or a little bit more info on these works.

    • I like the use of testimonials but I would bring them up and display more of them without having to use a carousel (especially because the dots are small and might get lost)

    • The daily trial is a nice idea and you should have some CTA to highlight that.

    • Your sections are missing valuable CTAs.
I know your navbar with "Book a demo" is sticky but you should consider at least one CTA per section like you did in the header.
For instance in the benefits section you could have again "Book a call with us" or "Try without commitment"
      Something around those lines.

    • You have 2 testimonial sections, maybe was intentional but I would combine them together as the landing page is already longer than I was expecting.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the effective inputs mate! This helps.

Do you think the homepage is able to deliver the message it's supposed to?

And do you think I should add a CTA for daily trial in the hero section?

    Hi Nahidul,
When I load the page on Firefox, the image gallery under "Recent Works" flashes very quickly. I imagine that this is a bug.

      Hi,
We didn't find this issue on Firefox or Chrome. But thanks for noticing this. Could be a plugin issue.

    2. 1

BTW, was it on desktop or mobile?

      1. 1

It was on desktop, Windows, wide screen.
Don't sweat about it - it could be something to look at if more people report it. :)
