Roast my idea: Auto media kit generator for TikTok creators

Hey IH,
I'm validating a micro SaaS idea before building anything.
The problem: TikTok creators who pitch brands for sponsorships spend 2-3 hours manually making a media kit in Canva. Most end up with something unprofessional or just skip it entirely.
The idea: A tool where you connect your TikTok account → it pulls your real stats (followers, avg views, engagement rate, audience demographics) → and auto-generates a beautiful, professional media kit PDF or shareable link in 60 seconds.
Retention hook: The kit is a live link that auto-updates monthly. Cancel subscription = link goes dead. So they stay subscribed to keep their kit active.
Pricing idea: Free (basic PDF) → $29/mo Pro (live link + full analytics) → $299/mo Agency (whole creator roster)
My concern: Is the retention strong enough? Will creators churn after generating their first kit?
Roast me. What am I missing?

This is a solid, practical idea — the “connect TikTok → auto-generate a clean media kit” solves a very real pain, especially for smaller creators who don’t want to touch design tools. The live-updating link is smart too, but your concern is valid — most creators only need a kit when pitching, so retention might depend on adding things like inbound brand discovery or performance tracking over time.

This could actually be a great way to test interest and get early exposure. There’s a competition where you can submit it — entry is $19 and the winner gets a Tokyo trip. Prize pool just opened at $0. Your odds are the best right now.

I think churn is a real concern here and probably bigger than it looks at first.

A media kit feels like a “one-and-done” job for a lot of creators. Once they generate it, what pulls them back monthly?

Another thing: media kits often change depending on the brand being pitched. In my experience, you don’t send the exact same version to everyone. You tailor it.

That makes me think the real opportunity might be beyond just generating the kit:

    • helping creators match with relevant brands
    • managing outreach (who they contacted, when, responses, follow up)
    • easily customizing versions of the kit per brand

That way the product becomes part of their ongoing workflow, not just a one-time tool. It becomes more of a one-stop shop.

"The Canva struggle is real—I've seen creators spend days on those just for the stats to be outdated by the time a brand replies.

Instead of just 'roasting' the idea on a forum, you should put this concept into the Validation Arena (tokyolore.com).

It’s a $19 sprint and winner gets a Tokyo trip

The churn concern is valid. Most creators pitch brands once or twice then go quiet they'll cancel and regenerate when they need it. The live link only retains people who pitch consistently, and that's a smaller slice than you think.
Your agency tier is the real opportunity. Talent managers with 20-50 creators have a constant stream of new kits and updates that's genuinely recurring pain.
Talk to 3 agencies before building anything for consumers. Way less churn, higher willingness to pay.
