Roast my idea: Automated Investor Update Emails

Hey, founder here.

A few years back, we raised an Angel round, and suddenly there were a bunch of people I needed to keep updated on milestones, progress and financials.

I like to be organised, so I started with an email template. Every month was a copy, paste, tweak, done. But even with that system, I still missed a few months. Some investors lost interest, and honestly, I felt embarrassed when I fell behind.

The real issue? I want to focus on building my business, not drafting what feels like a retro news report.

So, the idea: automate investor emails using AI to summarise the past month.

Where does the AI get the info? From updates posted by founders on the platform—kind of like tweeting throughout the month. As things happen, I log quick updates, which the AI pulls from to create the email. Make sense?

I'm thinking, this means

  • No more stressing about missing regular updates
  • AI improves over time (custom prompts, new data sources, etc.)
  • Investors can provide feedback on what they care about

What I need:
I’m looking for founders who can help shape this into something they’d actually pay for. Your insights will guide the features I build as a side-hustle.

What do you think? Can you help?
