Roast my Idea: Timebox for Google Calendar

Hi folks,

I'm trying to use timebox in my daily activities and I felt like I have been delivering more than before.

But there are 2 problems with doing timebox when you have a bunch of meetings during the day, which keeps being updated and changing time. Also, sometimes is hard to estimate the time necessary to finish your tasks, and then you got some "timeboxes" that are not enough for finishing such tasks or you need replanning them.

So I thought of a very simple problem that solves this very specific issue for people that use this technique:

• Imagine a Chrome extension, that works on Google Calendar, and let you add "tasks and timeboxes" to your calendar.
• The "boxes" are the period of time you want to work on some "kind" of work, which could be filtered by: task lists, tags.
• And tasks could be grouped into a list and also tagged to match the above boxes.
• One required field for each task would be an estimated time to finish it.
• With that, the system would be able to split your matching tasks around the free time (respecting your meetings, etc) in your google calendar including breaking tasks that do not fit in only one timebox.

There are many other details I thought to make the planning easier, but the main idea here is:

• It works as a chrome extension inside your google calendar
• It will allow you to set timeboxes
• It will distribute your tasks on the timeboxes you set.
