Roast my ideas of Micro-Saas

I have some Micro-SaaS ideas that I would intend to build as a web REST API service.

  1. An API for developers to rapidly build job boards.
  2. A developer API for on which to build holiday property rental websites.
  3. A Comments API for headless/SSG sites.
  4. Form capture/survey API for headless/SSG sites.

Which one would you pay to use? or if you have any ideas to suggest let me know.

Thanks

Use a tool like Carrd to create a small landing page for each. Spend $50 or so on each on Facebook Ads. See which one gets the best response (usually one or two will stand out from the rest in my experience).

      Thanks for the idea!

I write about a lot of profitable Micro SaaS Ideas to 6000+ people every week.

So far wrote about 700+ ideas with detailed analysis and this is one of the fastest growing newsletters for Micro SaaS builders (both Tech and Non-Tech)

I have also written in depth around APIs, Headless APIs, AI based tools using simple APIs with a lot of data points.

But if you ask from this list you have mentioned (not your paying user though), 1 & 2 may not have much chances but the best way would be rather setup quick landing pages and ask for signups and do a few user interviews.

Can you please share your newsletters? Thanks!

          This is cool! Thanks!

#1 sounds pretty great, if it can have good segmentation search for the jobs.

I think #1 and #2 sounds like half of a solution. You might say isn't Stripe also half a solution? People use Stripe as a checkout solution to their products. While your #1 and #2 are more like the entire backend of the product (at least from how you put it).

There are plugins that can turn custom Google Sheets into various templated websites. For example, @AndreyAzimov 's Sheet2Site.

Now, #3 and #4 to SSG sites sound more like Stripe to ecommerce sites. I've seen products out there. If you can differentiate yours, I think there might be something there.

I think #1 as a SaaS solution, no development needed, has potential.

I like the first idea. I assume many job board founders would pay for it - if you provide a rich experience. Currently, 9/10 job boards are just awful because they don't provide a good search, a good sorting, UI/UX are just bad. Via API you can't provide a good UI/UX of course, but at least you can give them the good data source.

I probably wouldn't pay for any, don't take my word on it, but here's what I feel like would have the most potential (not in any particular order):

    • The number 4 as all brands/companies are looking to acquire some data/feedback from users/clients. If you figure out a way to make the life of someone easier for this, you could probably generate some revenue.

    • The number 2, but let's say you were building a ui to manage some booking rules, you could probably cover a larger base because managing availability + booking is something not just property rental could need.

      • A hotel could want to offer the possiblity to reserve one of their conference rooms
      • A city could offer to rent a soccer field
      • A company might want to offer vehicles for short-term rent

It would be a matter of:

    • Designing the ui to support all those types of request
    • Having a clear marketing copy tailored per use cases

You could monetize number 2 with transaction processing fees, or a cost per resource they want to make available.

Thanks for expanding the ideas. I agree that it doesn't have to be only in the sector of holiday property rental.

I'd pay for none, someone out there probably paying for each. It's a matter of execution and your willingness/resources on marketing.

Do you have a straight roadmap to find developers who are about to build holiday property rental websites?

Thanks for sharing the resource. I'm not interested in building chrome extensions though.
