Roast My Landing Page! πŸ™

Hello Indie Hackers,

I've started a new project called Moly, an AI assistant for Recruiters and built the landing page and started doing some user interviews to shape the product.

Would you roast my landing page for feedback? πŸ™

https://moly.ai

If you have any recruiter's friends to show them what it does and subscribe to the waiting list that would be really appreciated πŸš€

Hm. So the major thing for me: It's for Candidates and Recruiters? It seems you can't really serve both (conflict of interest) to me. Also your marketing will need to be way more complex (two separate messages to each audience). To me your offer would be more credible if you were firmly on the side of helping one - or the other. If you try to appeal to everyone, it makes appealing to anyone harder. Just IMO. Goodluck!

Yes, I agree there is a conflict of interest, the idea is to bring free traffic through candidates that apply for jobs and need to tailor their CVs for specific roles for example. The main business is recruiters of course. Would you suggest focusing solely on recruiters? Or maybe leave the main landing page for recruiters focused and create a specific one for candidates.

      1. 2

Yeah, maybe two separate domains, etc. Also you could perhaps make the candidate side just helpful tools and tricks, more low-key (like a knowledge base), no-registration even. One in 100 job seekers might be a headhunter, so there's your potential clients. Not highly a efficient sorting process but no real downside, either.

My recommendation as far as targeting candidates would be to utilize the blog section of your website. It helps establish you as a leader to prospective leads, showing you relate to their struggles.

Try posting informative articles on how jobseekers can stand out to recruiters. You can do this by positing about key tips and tricks on how to build a resume. Even advice on how to respond to interview questions.

Since your website mentions that your product helps with LinkedIn content, you could post informative articles where to find good content ideas. Ideally, brining this back into your product.

This helps show that you want to build and foster a community where you want to help solve people's issues.

    Hey Santi Barbat great idea...!
    Just some quick feedback.

    1. The color of the text might be a bit dark under "CV Summaries" and other headers as well - it would be easy for the eyes.
    2. Page scrolling takes a long time, which can be reduced.
Eg:- "LinkedIn Posts From Content" & "LinkedIn Posts Ideas" these topics could be clubbed together or something.
    3. The Chrome extension can be made a pop up when the user visits the website or a small button would do the trick right now it is taking an ample amount of space.

    Thank you. All the best...!

Your landing page is well-designed and nice logo. I feel the offering is a little confusing considering it has something for all three (Candidate, Recruiter, Company). All the best.

  4. 2

your landing page has a clean feel to it which I like. It also has some nice call to actions! The default graphics make the landing page feel generic and less trustworthy since I have seen a lot of thrown-together pages using these graphics. I would love to help out and connect with you, do you want to dm on twitter?

    Some super quick feedback:

    1. It's very text heavy, meaning most people will miss the good stuff. Action: Reduce the amount of text. Example: "Reduce Your Average Time To Hire 10x Times" > "Reduce time to hire by 90%" (percent makes more sense IMO when it's about reducing something)

    2. I miss your top 3 unique selling points (USPs). Action: Reduce the features section and first add your 3 USPs.

    3. Keep it to one CTA and reduce the amount of them, now they are everywhere! Action: Sign Up Now For Free or Start Free Trial, reduce them.

Like the coloring and light design!

    Hey @santib,

I went on and commented out with audio of your landing - you can listen to it here

My general feedback is that you should get more specific so that your audience feels understood. Also, I think you should show a bit of the solution.

I love this article by my friend @Clementrog - it is a great resource for creating landing pages content: https://bootstrappingmarketing.substack.com/p/believable-stories

@ben_cotte that is soo valuable feedback, thank you so much!

I don't have a product yet so that's why the illustrations are there, as soon as I have some screenshots they will be added 😎

I love your app btw, will start using it!

        You're welcome!
Ok, I see! Yes, even mock-ups will do the trick.

Cool, thanks @santib - yes, I use it because for me it is a way to give feedback easily. You can create vero page from www.vero.fm/page/new -- or keep yourself updated on news from the landing www.vero.fm

        Cheers!

I would probably make up "chrome extension" to the first page. Because I almost pass it. When it will be on the first page, it should become more visible more desirable to try (especially if you specify that the starter is free)

Very good shout! Thank you Max!

    Feedback

Too much about you. Not enough about them.

'leave to Moly all the hard work and focus on what really matters.' what is the hard work? Spell it out. Show the pain.

Show examples. Show an example CV, then the summarized version.

Your primary headline should be benefit focused. As it is now, it just says "what" your software is. Something that evokes emotion will do a lot better than a description.

By way of example, see the headline I have for GapScout.

I could have said something like, "AI for scanning reviews".... but that is... meh.

Instead, the focus is on the outcome: the benefit of using the product.

    Hope that helps!

Very helpful Justin! Will be working on that 100%, thank you very much

      What do you mean?

      1. 1

quite a lot of text on the landing page I wish it could be reduced to make it more crisp

        1. 1

Yeap, I'm developing the product still so planning to remove some text and add more videos/images πŸ˜‰
