🔥Roast my landing page!🔥

Hey indie hackers,

I'm after some landing page feedback on Userdoc.

Userdoc is a requirements management tool for software agencies/consultancies/firms, and helps centralize project requirements.

I ran a software development agency for 8 years, sold it at the start of the pandemic, and been travelling with my wife in an RV around Australia thinking about what's next.

One of the issues we faced in our business was around project requirements, and ensuring both our clients and our team could refer to a source of truth. I spent years thinking documentation was bad, but I slowly started to realise in an agency setting, when you're working on possibly many a few long-term projects - it's impossible to keep it all in your head.

So Userdoc was born.

We are getting close to launching, and would love feedback on our landing page.

I just spent time on the site and looked at both @GetHimMama's video + @harshvijay's comments and definitely agree with their suggestions. I however don't understand the product - at all.

I'm genuinely unsure at this point if it's that I haven't used a tool similar to this or has been a long day but I spent time trying to understand what issue your product solves and for me it wasn't there. @GetHimMama mentioned you could make some of the screenshots into videos and this would potentially help but for me it'd be writing down:

    1. What's the problem users face? 1.1 Explain product briefly 2. Push the issue a little further (this issue is the worst!!) 3. My software solves it.

Saying this the clean design and consistency is great so for me it's just overcoming that understanding!

Hey Josh, Ok well that's definitely an issue.

I have tweaked the website, and added a demo video - I'd love to know if it now makes it any clearer? https://userdoc.fyi

      Thank you mate.

Fantastic, I completely understand it now, the video made everything click. I remember a senior team member putting a document together in a spreadsheet when I worked at Tesla and Userdoc software would have been a lot better experience. He used a spreadsheet which makes sense for large quantities of data but not written content that needs to be accessible and readable. Without a good UX I didn't use his spreadsheet. I still don't believe the website defines the product perfectly/ addresses the pain point:

Your business has grown to need processes. It's taken you hours, days or weeks to craft ideal customer journey's that work but employees still aren't aligned. If employees adopted the process your businesses efficiency will multiply allowing more growth but how many more meets do you schedule before you go mad.

Enter Userdoc. Employees aren't using your document because it's not easily accessible. It's not easy to reference a PDF with countless pages or an email attachment that has become buried over time. Userdoc allows you to build and manage your businesses processes with a platform built for speed and adaptability. - Keep your business aligned as you grow. - Onboard remote workers to align with processes. - Grow your processes with employee feedback.

        Microsoft Teams Chat Picture:
"Hi, xxx customer is being onboarded today but I need xxx PDF for them to sign. Could someone send me the file?! emoji"
Reply: "Hey Jordan, great news re customer xxx - have added the file to the onboarding on Userdoc, here's the link generic emoji"

    Hey Chris!

    I made a 7 minute screen recording roast-n-toast of User Doc's LP.

    TLDR;

    • Really good landing page!
    • I would add in Gifs and Videos

Hope you get some value out of this!
