Roast my landing page?

I am working on LinkDeck (http://linkdeck.me/) - a link aggregator that also download content and posts from the linked platforms.

I am not too sure about the phrasing of the first section after the hero on my landing page. Is what we do clear to you from just reading the landing page?

Also, does the ordering of the landing page content sections make sense to you?

"Landing pages that update automatically. Save time for what truly matters. Simply set up and share."

These are all features. You should talk about the benefits.

The landing page should make it clear who it's for. Not the demographic, but who are the people that wants to hire LinkDeck for a specific job in what context?

It took until the testimonies until I figured out, "oh, it's probably for digital artists to show potential clients their portfolio to win sales."

To me, that's the benefit. "Easy to set up portfolio pages that wins clients" would be what I'd use for a subheading.

You can save the feature bullet points for sections later on in the page.

you spelled design wrong. "Setup in 3 minutes, no coding or deisgn required"

And lastly, you should think about all the potential objections that potential customers would have. The best way is just to ask people when you're doing customer dev, and then just write your answer on the landing page. There's no point in guessing. Hope that helps!

Thanks for your feedback! You're right, I should refine my copy writing more specific to the target audience. And good catch on that typo!

I'd recommend moving the headline from what you do to why you are doing it. For example, why would someone want to showcase their work effortlessly with one link? (i.e. Get the world to see your work, etc. ) - it's ok for this to be aspirational (especially if you aren't marketing to developers).

      Thank you for your feedback!

Hey, cool idea - would love to share some feedback for your page.

Firstly - when I first opened the page I thought it was for a mobile app. You use a iPhone background anywhere and it wasn't clear that it's a webpage. Maybe consider using a different form factor that's more suitable to communicate it's a website? Or you could create an image that shows the website on different form factors to show that it's adaptive. "Your profile, beautifully showcased on every form factor" comes to mind as a phrase.

Second - who is it you're targetting? Because from your demo it looks like it's mainly design/creative freelancers. If so, then you should update your copy to speak specifically to them. "Landing pages that update automatically" probably won't speak to them. What they most likely want is a Profile page or Portfolio page.

You even have it in your main header "Showcase your work". Maybe a better subheading could be something like "A beautiful portfolio page, updated automatically. Set up in 3 minutes. Zero maintenance required".

What are the little circle icons above the "Get started" button? Are they profiles of your customers? If so, make them actual links to their linkdecks so visitors can see actual people using it.

I see you have a demo, which is nice, but what would be even better (if technically possible) is to offer the user to see what their page would look like by just asking them for their behance or instagram handle - you could then quickly generate it and take the user to it with a nice big "Finish creating" CTA on it. I'd bet that would increase conversions.

Competitor comparison: Who are you comparing to? Feel free to name them. It might actually be a good boost for SEO if someone searches for "your_competitor alternatives". Also, ditch the "But we will let you decide which you prefer :)" sentence - it's cute, but meaningless. Maybe actually have a comparison table of you and a competitor and list what you do better.

Hey @ValCanBuild, thanks so much for taking time to review my page! Your response is super detailed and gave me a lot of ideas to work with.

I think it's a great point that it looks like a mobile app, I will definitely add other screen mockups to make it look more like a web app.

Yeah I have been focusing more on the online creators so I will refine the language to target them. I am working on separate landing pages for different customer profiles.

And a comparison table is a good idea too!

So you're making a landing page that has a dynamic aspect that fetches content from a lot of social networks? (like widgets?)
It makes total sense to me the page!
I think you need to highlight the importance of "AUTOMATICALLY PULLS ALL YOUR DATA AND REFRESHES IT FROM YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS" somewhere - maybe show the "before and after", rather than the "Competitor vs Us".

I would also try to answer the "WHY" - why is this a better solution over a competitor like Linktree or whatever

From reading your reviews, it seems like your audience is artsy people - use that knowledge to your advantage to build your landing page to target them, use their words on the homepage and highlight how artists can get superpowers from your product

Yeah, landing page with widgets, that's exactly it.

I will try to refine my landing page to be more tailored to my audience and use the language that they are comfortable with. Thanks for the ideas!
